It sounds very much like another Wenlei's crazy plan--starting from 10:00 AM, we have classes one after another till 5:00 PM, at least for Anbo.
We began a family ice skating class at 10:00 AM, which means I no longer can lie down on the bed and enjoy the peaceful Saturday morning. We drove half an hour to the ice rink, had a 30-minute session there, and took 30 minutes back home. No time to enjoy lunch, because Anbo and I had to catch the Chinese school by 1:00 PM.
All of us were busy in the afternoon. Anbo had the tightest schedule--a Chinese class from 1 to 3 PM, a WuShu class from 3 to 4 PM, and a clay-shaping class from 4 to 5 PM. I had an 'adult' Chinese calligraphy session from 2 to 3 PM, and an 'adult' tennis class from 3 to 4 PM. After Anmo's nap, Wenlei rushed for her dance session from 3 to 4 PM, and took Anmo for his Chinese painting class from 4 to 5 PM.
Crazy may it sound like, the schedule turned out to be fine. Kids liked their classes. Anbo liked his WuShu class very much. In the parking lot, he could not wait to show us what he just learned. Anmo enjoyed running around in the classroom. Anyway, Anmo claimed that he liked the Chinese painting class. ( Didn't I tell you that this is another Wenlei's crazy plan? 8) )
As for me, my 'adult' calligraphy class was full of little kids, and I am the only adult student. Yet, I still enjoyed it. I decided to skip the tennis session since I was late for the class, and it was obvious that I would become the only adult student again. For the calligraphy, being the only adult student was O.K.; for the tennis, it was TOO MUCH!
Thankful to Wenlei's crazy plan, Wenlei and I had a quiet time together at night.
Many parents sign up their kids for various school activities. While kids are learning, parents often just either chat or do nothing. If parents want their kids to learn, why don't these parents show that they themselves like to learn, too? At least, I would have more tennis playmates..
